    Born on 15.06.1921. Did graduation from St. Androw College, Gorakhpur (U.P.) and LL.B. from Allahabad University. Started practised in 1945 in High Court of Judicature at Allahabad. Appointed Judge, Allahabad High Court in 1967. Appointed Judge, Supreme Court of India in 1981. Headed High Powered Pay Committee, Government  of India, Ministry of Industries from 01.12.1986 to 03.11.1988.  Worked as Lokayukta of Himachal Pradesh from 05.11.1988 to 04.11.1993. Assumed charge as the President, H. P. State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission from 01.10.1992 to 04.11.1993.
